Continuing Her Service to the Fair Oaks Ranch Community
Laura Koerner has been reappointed to the Fair Oaks Ranch Municipal Development District (MDD) Board of Directors, continuing her service to the community and her involvement in the city's economic development efforts.
Laura currently serves as president of the MDD, which oversees funding for projects intended to encourage economic growth, improve quality of life and protect long-term property values. Established by voters in 2011, the district is funded through a half-cent municipal sales tax and supports qualifying commercial, civic and governmental projects.
The MDD considers a wide range of projects, from infrastructure improvements and support for local businesses to community initiatives that enhance public spaces and safety. Its board evaluates funding requests based on their anticipated benefits to Fair Oaks Ranch residents and their compliance with state and local requirements.
Laura's continued service on the board provides an opportunity to remain involved in decisions about economic development and the use of public funds as Fair Oaks Ranch plans for its future.
